Officially adopted in 1954 as the standard British military sidearm (designated as the L9 and later the L9A1), replacing the Webley and Enfield revolvers. After nearly 70 years of service, in 2013, it was replaced by the 4th Generation Glock 17 (designated L131A1).

This version is flat backed so it can be hung and is a one piece mould, with no moving parts and has no capability to fire. It is an ornament only.
